Edgile’s Governance Risk and Compliance practice helps enterprises manage risk across the entire organization.
The rising threat of cybercrime and expanding regulations governing identity and personal privacy created a growing need for business leaders to think more about the multitude of compliance and security risks they face. Ventures helped Edgile’s market entry into governance, risk and compliance (GRC).
Edgile’s GRC practice gives the company’s clients the ability to coordinate their risk management and compliance functions while reducing their related costs.
“Working with Ventures gave us the software development resources we didn’t have in house,” says Edgile director and senior architect Will Mathies, a 1993 Rose-Hulman mechanical engineering graduate and former Ventures project manager who led the team when Edgile first approached in 2011.
“The team of students we had working on the project was just fantastic.”
Today, Edgile is a leading security and risk consulting firm, and provider of industry-specific regulatory content libraries. The company uses strategy planning to uncover the business requirements that drive alignment between business and technology and its specialized practitioners are often an extension of the end user’s team, offering end-to-end expertise to ensure their goals are achieved. Edgile’s revenue grew from $7 million in 2011 to over $40 million, and the company was named one of Inc. magazine’s fastest-growing companies in America in 2016.
